Founded by James (Jim) and Michel Madison in 2002, Jim's Auto Repair and Transmission has outgrown three facilities and now resides conveniently just off of historic route 30. James is a Stark County native who's passionate about community responsibility, education, local economy, and his church at which he and Michel volunteer every week. Jim's provides jobs for several local technicians as well as his son Nate who is not only growing as a skilled technician, but also learning how the business operates.
Culture of growth
Jim's Auto Repair and Transmission, originally called Jim's Transmission and Service, started out with a special focus on transmission and drivetrain repair and as the company grew, James hired technicians with expertise in all facets of auto repair and service. While the company is largely considered the area's leading transmission repair and service shop, it has now matured into a full service automotive repair and tire center.
Future Focused
The reason that James selected Dalton as the ideal location for his shop was not only the business opportunity, but because he believed in the local school system and wanted to give his tax dollars and volunteer time to Dalton and it's inhabitants. If you have run a local 5K, experienced the Dalton Holiday Festival, or walked through the doors at Living Water Church, odds are you already have shook his hand and were greeted with a smile.
